Cracked Me Up

I just received an email notice from our Skeet and 5-Stand chairman announcing 5-Stand on Monday evening.

His notice cracked me up...

5 Stand will be open at 5 Monday so you can study as to how shotgun pellets can avoid flying clays to your utter amazement. It defies physics!

...and ya know, I think he's right... absolutely right!:rotf:

That is about right

And I never cease to be amazed at how wild quail and dove can fly though a shot string of any load I throw at them.

Or how much shot a duck can carry and not fall

An Attorney friend would often follow his shot with a shout of, "Fly on you heart shot out SOB,"

We shoot 5-stand regularly at one club. We routinely chastise the trapper, in jest of course, for not throwing the targets where our shot strings are located. A properly set 5-stand course is challenging.

Ha! My late brother used to say almost the same thing after a miss: "Fly on with your heart shot out!"

I always yell “GET OUTTA HERE AND DONT COME BACK!!!!”

I know my shotgun has a small hole in the pattern, but how do the darn clays always seem to find it? Bad luck I suppose.

I always exclaim as the bird flys on, "the dog will get it!"
