I found this forum today and decided to join. I own the 1907 Parker Bros. 12 gauge DHE that my Grandfather first acquired in 1914. He lived in Outer Banks of North Carolina. It originally came with 26" improved and modified barrels. Later, in the 1920's my Grandfather had a second set of barrels made by Parker, 28 inch modified and full. He used the shorter barrels for upland game but primarily used the long barrels on duck and geese on Currituck Sound, near the family farm. I've owned the gun since 1993 and hunted pheasant, quail, ducks and geese with it in California

Welcome. That is a fine Parker. Your grandfather had great taste in guns. That is type of gun that you wish could talk and tell you about the days of many ducks and many birds.

Welcome Bill and that is a very special Parker you have.

Some of us are as fortunate as you to have family Parkers to shoot and enjoy. Welcome aboard!

A great piece of hunting history, not to mention your family history. A true coast-to-coast gun.

Research Letter
Hi Bill and welcome aboard. Have you checked to see if a research letter was available on your gun ? If so I wonder if it would mention your Grandfather in any way ? Now that would be way cool. :corn::corn:
