20 gauge Reproduction observations
1 Attachment(s)
As I was cleaning my 20 gauge this afternoon I noticed the serial number of my gun stamped on the back side of both ejectors. I had never noticed this before. I also measured the length of my chambers in a 2 3/4" factory gun and they both measure 3". They may had been lengthened before I purchased the gun. Has anybody else measured there chambers just out of curiosity to see what length they came out of the factory with?

Your barrels most likely came from PR with 3" chambers. Many of the 12 gauge come marked 2 3/4 but have 3" chambers. I do not shoot any 3" 20 gauge shells so I never checked my barrels chambers on them. SXS Ohio

Matt, what is the length of your 20-ga. barrels that have 3" chambers?
|
26" barrels with the typical IC/M chokes.

Mine measure exactly 2 3/4". I would suspect that your gun's chambers have been lengthened, but would invite others to measure theirs for a larger sampling to come to any definitive conclusions. |
Measured my 26 Q1&2 it is 3 in.also has s/n on back of ejectors. I am its only owner so it is as it came from the factory. Forgot to say it is a 20 ga.

We don't know what we don't know . . . but we're finding out -- and it only leads to more questions! |
I did not add that it is marked 2-3/4

How common 3 barrel sets?
Can anyone tell me how common 3 barrel reproduction sets are and how desirable? 20 28”, 20 26”, and 28” 16 gauge.

This one, however; is righteous, but the seller hasn't matched up what he's selling with what he has pictured. http://www.gunsinternational.com/gun...n_id=100956454 |
