older repro's vs. newer repro's

I have been hearing rumors that newer made parker repro's had a problem shooting to center and that some or many were sent back to get new barrels from Skuse-the older Japanese ones had the better wood and did not have that problem-any thoughts on this.

The newer ones are Japanese. The older ones are Japanese. The 16 gauges are German. I have not heard about any particular problems, especially where wood or point of impact are concerned.

I had a very early production 28 ga 2 bbl set, and I had to send it back to Reagent Chemical because both sets of barrels shot low. They told me that the ribs weren't being layed at the correct height. I now own a later production 28 ga, and it shoots right where it's pointed. I own a very low serial number 20 ga, and a high number 12 ga, and I can tell you there is no difference in quality.
