Red Dot
Just flew up to CAC and picked up a load of stuff . And one of the items was an 8 pounder of Red Dot .
Already have a good decent 1 ounce 12 gauge load using Red Dot and the CB knockoff WAASL wad . Now I wanna refine the 1 1/8 ounce 10 gauge load I've been messing with a bit .Think I have 10-12 pounds of the stuff now so I oughtta be in pretty good shape for a year or three . |
Any Red Dot 12 gauge load should work in a ten gauge just fine.

or you could refer to the tested 1 1/8 red dot loads Craig and I have posted

I forgot the powder charge I sort of settled on but I've got the bushing in the press . I just need to settle on a way to get my crimp to suit me . |

Why ? One ounce will work for hunting or target loads. I shoot 1 1/16 or 1 oz loads all the time in my 10ga guns. You'll get nice patterns with a real short shot string. JMHO

Paul,
When shooting 1 oz of shot in the 10 ga, how many grains of Red Dot are you using? What size spacer in the shot cup? Thanks, Jack Kuzepski |
19grs and I have many spacers - don't remember know how many it takes -enough for a good crimp.
