I got this a few weeks ago. SN 231590
12 Ga. 28" VH |
Nice gun Kenny!
It looks like a Parker but it can't be with that serial number. Double check that serial number if you would. I'm thinking 231590 ? . |
Kenneth:
Looks to be in nice condition with some case color where it is usually worn off with use, even when well-cared-for. It appears to be stamped as a 1 1/2-frame. How is it choked and how has it performed for you? |
Thanks Dean, I corrected it. 231590 I am dyslectic and have always had trouble writing. It has IC and Mod chokes. It patterned well and I shot it at a Vintager's shoot a couple of weeks ago and it shoots just as lousy as all my other guns.:( I plan on taking it to Northeast SXS shoot in June.
Can anyone check it in the book? |

Here is the number

231590 is in the series of numbers contained in one of the missing books.

That's the usual way things go for me. :banghead: Thanks Dean.
|
Me too. I had a CHE Double Trap, 1 of 4 known with 30-inch Acme Steel barrels with a vent rib, 230760 that is in the same missing book. I have always wondered who ordered that gun.
. |
I thought I had read that DelGrego had some Parker books. Do you suppose or has anyone checked with them to find out if those are the missing record books?
|
Those are only a few of the missing books. It is rumored that Tony Galazan may have one or two as well. But there are many more missing books than those. In the data compiled by Charlie Price in preparation for the Parker Serialization and Identification book he indicates there are approximately 30 missing stock books in various serial number ranges and years.
