Parker Skeet
Is this an original Skeet Parker, and correct except the cut stock?https://www.gunbroker.com/item/894101696

Serial number book seems to support such based on others.
FYI, part of a heck of a dozen guns in a run with same same options in all grades and calibers. |
It certainly looks like a Remington era Skeet gun with the trap comb, the correct single selective trigger, the Remingtonesque checkering border, barrel flats stamps, twin ivories etc.

Looks like mine.

Fair point Larry! I've for sure made mistakes both ways: too picky sometimes and too hopeful sometimes as to condition and configuration. For me the "more fish in the sea" way of thinking usually works out better. In this case, I'm pretty good on Parkers and will try to be patient for an Ilion made nice original 12 gauge. Any configuration for weight, barrels, and stock is actually okay by me.
A regret I made being picky 30 plus years ago is not buying a absolute mint Winchester 1901 10 gauge with the cursive engraving because I "couldn't get shells for it." I also passed on a like new 1897, last year made gun because It's barrel was "too long." Both guns were $350 then. |
A 12 gauge skeet sold in the Morhpy May 2020 auction for $3600.00. It was a high condition skeet gun. They are hard to find. Very hard to find.

Seems like prices are dropping some on collectible guns, even on popular guns like Parkers and Win. 21s. This gun is real decent, the only thing I don't care for is the short pull. The price seems realistic, though.
