Paul, Don't let the boys get to you about your rotary dial phone, The one I use does not have a dial!

Oh no. Today after a 40 year lay off, my third round was a 25. Twice I thought I had missed. That gun still broke em. It's a keeper for sure.

A good looking bow always helps. You really don't have to shoot good, just look good, and a Parker over your shoulder or under your arm always makes you look better.

I can clearly remember when our farm house had a wooden crank phone like that. That's all there was in that area until the early 60's. Just can't remember the operators name. The phone line was a wire strung along on the ground through the bushes on the side of the road. I can remember my grandfather picking it up and cranking it and yelling through the hand mic at the operator; neither of them could hear much.

Good luck with your SBT Paul. I'm thinking I'd do well with one since it has a single trigger. I love busting clays way out there with the long guns!

Our house had a similar phone in the mid-50's, complete with a central operator and a party line - you had to listen for YOUR ring before you picked up (of course, anybody else who wanted to pick up too could listen in) and you had to go through the operator and give her the number to call out. I remember we were in pretty tall cotton when the town finally got rotary dial phones.

When we got a rotary phone we still had 7 households on our party line. Imagine trying that now?!! Even as remote as we are in this camp, we have a satellite internet system that allows calling with smart(???????????????)phones so everyone has one in their hand 24/7 when they're not using them for something else. They even sleep with them beside their pillow and text constantly during the day. No thanks.
