finish on lifter

I believe the original lifter finish was nitre. Am I correct?

You are referring to the triggerguard? I believe nitre is correct.

Actually I am talking about the lifter plunger on lifter action guns.

On the 1pc lifter buttons, nitre would be correct. On the earlier 2pc button/bars it would be case color.
