My CH....

This old girl has been years getting to where I want it ,this is its third incarnation ,and at this point I think i'm close ,I rarely post pics of my work for a few reasons ... lack of time , and the ability to take a decent pic -to name a couple ,so bear with these
I picked the blank in American black because I really liked it basically ,the wrist checkering is a pattern I loosely copied from a CH associated with L.L.Bean,the forend pattern is mostly Parker with a little me thrown in ...I looked at it as a special order ,my gun ...they way I wanted it done . I also have a set of 28" 16 gauge vulcan bbls fitted to the gun and a second forend in the works (again ,when time allows ) these are for days when the sun don't shine ,those Bernards are just too shaggin pretty! And last but not least ,I have to thank Brad Bachelder for the beautiful work he did on my Bernard barrels...He graciously worked around my time constraints ,and the work as the pictures shows absolutely perfect! |
Beautiful!

I really like the pattern layout. Bring that gun to AZ you can hunt with the Bernard barrels without fear of rain. I also just realized that your gun delivered just one day before my DH I posted about on another subject. SN 82226 delivered April 18, 1896.

Chris, I have watched the evolution of this fine gun over the last 6 years and you never cease to amaze me. From the first restock done without a duplicator and patterned from pics only to what you've accomplished is a testament to your talent and diligence. Be very proud of it and your work. Congratulations.
