Help Identifying 1877

4 Attachment(s)
Hello,
New to the site. This shotgun has been hanging over my grandmas mantle since i was born. She was ready to part with it, so i was able to get it to keep it on display. Looks like it is a 1877 with serial number 9949. I looked all through the site, but i am having a hard time identifying what grade it is. It is marked "laminated steel" on the rib of the barrel. All of the other markings are shown in the pictures. Any help would be appreciated on what grade and value it could be. Will never sell it but would be interested to find out. Thanks!

Hello Mr. Beres,

Your gun is not one of the Parker Bros. SXS shotguns manufactured in Meriden, CT.

It was a "cheap import" brought in to capitalize on the Parker name here in the US.

Belgian built “hardware store” gun.
