Hello
Hi. I am new to Parker Brothers guns, and today my wife's uncle gave me one. The fore grip is missing, but the gun seems strong. There is a little crack in the stock near the trigger guard. when I crack open the gun the serial numbers reads 69754 with the letter V. The barrels are 32 inches long. Oh and it is a Damascus no trigger. I would say the gun is 5-10% could someone help me identify what I have?

serial number 69754 should be a basic grade hammerless 12 gauge with 32 inch plain twist barrels and a capped pistol grip stock. This is a fairly early hammerless gun.
when you say the fore grip is missing - just the wood? or the entire thing, metal and all? there should be a number stamped on the under side of the barrel lug for the frame size and is the floor/trigger plate missing? please post some good clear pictures and we can help |
Only the wood is missing from the fore grip. The number is 69754 and there is a V for the letter. There is also a number 1 on the metal where the wood fore grip would go.

the forend wood can be found or made- not a real big deal. How about the "no trigger" question and what is the condition of the bores? pictures of the gun, with close ups of markings and the areas of concern will really help. |
Trust me I appreciate all your help can not get pictures up yet. The gun is hammerless.

The bores are not pitted inside a little dirty they are not rifled but have smooth lines. the serial numbers match the barrel and the trigger mechanism.
|
The gun is also missing the plate on the butt
|
reproduction butt plates are readily available
a Parker Brothers gun is a shotgun, so there should be no rifling |
I'msorry im meant to say the barrels are smooth inside and have the lines in between the barrels on the top of them. What do you think the cost would be, even if it was 5%?
|
$400. However, we are confused by the information that the serial number is accompanied by the letter "V". Can you explain exactly where the V is located if you can't post a picture?
