Parker Guns in the Movies

Gearing up for Halloween, my wife and I enjoy watching the classic, Universal horror films. Through the wonders of YouTube or streaming, you can pretty much find most if not all of them. Last night, my wife asked me to find one that we had never seen before (or at least since I was a kid).

This led me to "Dracula's Daughter" - (1936). The story picks up right where the original "Dracula" - (1931) with Bela Lugosi ends.

Early in the film our hero, Dr. Garth is getting ready to go on a shoot with a friend. Even though the story is set in both England and later Transylvania, he is holding what appears to be a very nice Parker Gun.

Doubtful it was a prop gun, but who knows? I tried to find a screen shot from the film of him holding it, but no luck.

Happy Halloween!
