Idaho 2017

Just returned from a great trip in Idaho...we chased 6 species of upland birds. This is the best year I’ve ever seen for Huns in southern Idaho...some days we saw more than 100. Indian Summer days were great to be carrying a classic American double gun...

My English cocker flushed a pair of ruffies out of the sage on a hill...it was a riot

Had a wonderful surprise (Art’s book) when I returned yesterday. Can’t wait to return to Idaho

Wow! Beautiful pics of some big country! Love the bird & gun pics. Looks like a trip of a life-time. My daughter lives in Seattle. I am in Tennessee. When I retire I plan on taking a trip and hunting my way to Seattle. This motivates me to do so even more!

Washington State is no slacker for birds. I went to vet school at WSU on the Palouse and there's some damn good bird hunting...best kept secret.

Stunning pics. I wish I were younger so I could take advantage of a trip like that.

One question though. How do you keep the buckles on your strap vest from marring your guns - first photo? I stopped using one years ago because of the damage it caused.

I wrap the shoulder strap buckles in orange duct tape. Seems to work. I look for a plastic clip-in for the waist strap.
