Value of a Parker Reproduction 28ga
What’s the going market value for a 28ga reproduction?
I have a 28ga 26” q1/q2, straight grip, single trigger. Worn case colors on the receiver, but no bluing wear. The barrels are marked D grade, i’m not sure what the difference between a D grade, and the DHE designation. Thanks for any info. |
Best bet is to look on Gun Broker or Guns International there are many Parker Repro's advertised and you should get a fell for the value. Without pictures that about the only way and you can judge for yourself

All Repros are E (ejector) guns - therefor, a DHE is correct.

Bought a 2 barrel set 18 months ago in a private sale for $5200 with case and case cover. SST, straight grip, 26” IC/M and 28” M/F. Shows minor wear. Found it to be very light and whippy. Hanging on to it.

I've had two of them. Both 26" barrels, both DT, one straight grip, the other PG. Straight grip gun had a splinter while the PG gun has a BTFE. I find them a delight to shoot and don't find them whippy at all.... light, yes - but not whippy... just very fast handling.

I couldn't have said that better myself Dean. Inherently, I really enjoy "fast guns" but I can also understand how many feel the 28ga can be whippy & muzzle light. I'll admit I'm not a very disciplined shooter but frankly, I have my own reasons for that. I know myself..the second I begin analyzing every nuance of my shooting style, that's the moment I'll concentrate on all of the technicals of shooting to the extent that it will distract me and we all know what happens then. I'm terrible at skeet but some day I'll work on that. For now, I'm quite satisfied being a pretty good wingshot. My dog likes that about me.
