Sigh...

So this week I got three new to me Parkers, and now I'm wondering why in the hell would I collect posters, catalogues and such. But I'm still wondering and I would love to have a poster or print for my office. Where does one look? Does not HAVE to be original but would prefer that. My office has a nice small collection of upland books and some game, so something 11x14" would fit, bit bigger or smaller is OK. Any recommendations are appreciated.

I will throw in my 2 cents. Over the years I have purchased a lot of art work and would strongly suggest to get an original painting or drawing. The prints are very good however the painting will be “one of a kind “ as the prints are made in large quantities.
My favorite are illustrations form hunting and fishing magazines which would be about the size you mentioned. It will take awhile to find something that you like but you won’t regret it.

Where do I find that stuff? Call me jaded but I’d like to spend a bit more to protect myself. I’ve been burned before. Thank you!

I would follow up on the decoy auctions as they will have a few good pieces.
Copley they have a few auctions per year, also you can by directly from them.
I would call and ask for Colin or Steve.
Guyette / Deter decoys auction also will have a few good pieces. Gary Guyette or John Deter.
Both of these companies are very reputable.
Lastly a private dealer Robert Burger in Ohio. I will have to dig up his contact info as I have not seen him for a years.

Andy you might check with Pat McKune at www.sportingcollectibles.com
Pat is usually a good source for these things.

Ebay has good stuff occasionally too. A lot of repros (some of which are advertised as originals) so buyer beware. The for sale section here has the best stuff if you keep your eye open

An original Parker poster will set you back thousands. One sold a month or two ago, the first one I've seen for sale in years. It seemed to have slipped under the price radar. The Muderlak repro Bert Sharkey poster comes up for sale seldom. However there are probably quite a few of them in the PGCA membership. I don't have one, but I would like to find one.

Eeeek...there's nothing really inexpensive about this endeavor is there? But Mountain Mike told me, "There are worse ways to go broke..." Like a crack pusher that guy...

I still have some of the Parker "Tarnation" posters if you would like. Feel free to send me a message. Most expensive part would be framing it!
