another 20 bore question

Any opinions of the relative scarcity of PH 20 with 30" Twist barrels 1905 vintage?

Reggie Bishop 04-17-2019 06:16 PM

PH 20s are a difficult find. Add 30" twist and it becomes a very difficult find in my opinion. Others will know more

Dave Noreen 04-17-2019 06:36 PM

According to the tables on page 268 of The Parker Story there were 210 Twist barrel 20-gauges and 204 with Parker Steel barrels. A whopping 13 of the Twist barrel 20-gauges were 30-inch.

I think my PH 20...28" Twist is one of 110..

What about a 12 gauge PHE with 26 inch steel barrels how many did they make? thank you

Dave Noreen 04-18-2019 10:50 AM

Sixty 26-inch Parker Steel barrel 12-gauges.

Jim Thoma 04-18-2019 02:14 PM

Thank you very much is that with ejectors?

Bill Murphy 04-21-2019 09:31 AM

Don't know.

Dean Romig 04-21-2019 09:34 AM

The tables in The Parker Story where the number of guns produced in a particular configuration is listed do not differentiate between extractor and ejector guns.

I'll be shooting my P grade one and a half frame at the Southern next week if anyone want's to see it. Just got it back from Bachelder's as it had been pretty messed up with an attempted restoration and it came out Great! The bad colors are gone, the bad checkering and stock refinishing is gone, long process but happy to have it ready for the Southern :)
