Barrel repair

Is there a way to repair a barrel (chamber area)that has been "swollen" by a heavy load? If so does anyone have a recommendation for a gunsmith to do that type of repair?
Thank You

Depends on exactly how bad the bulge is and where it's at. In the chamber area it's a lot harder, and if it runs completely around the barrel in that area you're pretty well outta luck in my experience.

Sleeving of the barrels might put the gun back into use. I have seen Briley do some fantastic work.

The successful repair of a couple of sets of the most badly damaged barrels that I have seen was done by Keith Kearcher. Whatever you do, don't send it to someone who will have to subcontract the job if he gets in over his head. Some of the most name dropped barrel people out there don't know how to lay ribs or dismantle a set of barrels. Keith does it all.

Bill,
Thank you for your response. How do I contact Keith Kearch?
