I hope that the photo uploads
Hunting with my son at Grants Camps Kennebago Maine.
It has been too long since we went bird hunting.
Parker 28 repro was just right for the 12 mile walk thru the woods.

NICE. Trying to plan a trip next year to Maine. I remember years ago fishing for Atlantic Salmon on the Little Southwest Miramichi at Andre' Godin's great lodge in NB, and at night coming back from the river in mid September, the woodcock on the muddy roads were like flies they were so thick. That was 25+ years ago. Maine is a bit closer and you don't have to have a licensed guide so that's what we're aiming for (pun not intended).

Holly Crap..................a 12 mile walk through the woods is quite a feat, especially the north woods:shock: Congratulations.

Good grief Bob, 12 miles  you're a lot tougher than I ever thought I was. I know those woods...

Yes the first 2 days was 60 to 70’s way to hot, should have been 30 to 40’s.
It turned to rain showers on the 3rd day and cooled off thank goodness.

It's been my experience that the distance you walk is about twice the distance between the start and finish. Pretty hard to walk in a straight line for more than, oh, 8 feet. None of this takes into account the added distance of going OVER deadfalls.
