Family Parker
Hi there,
I am brand new to this message board, but hoping someone can help me out. I have a Parker Trojan and would like to get it back to its most original state if I could. I will need to re-fabricate the stocks and find a new butt plate or pad. I don't know if it actually had a pad or just the plastic plate. It is a 12 gauge side by side. I am also curious about the age and worth of it. Although I would never part with it. I apologize, but really know nothing about Parker's, but am looking forward to learning more. So if I get the serial number, is anyone able to help me out? Also, where can I buy the butt plate? Thanks, |
Does re-fabricate mean "throw away old one, build new one"?

You can find the plastic butt plates on ebay, you may want to shoot the gun as is because any restoration of any kind will be expensive and will quickly become more than its worth. Post the serial number if you got it.

Yeah, I was planning on building a new stock. At least the butt stock. It had the bottom 2 inches cut off to fit a smaller person. ????? But I wanted to get it back to its original form if I could.

Take it in small bites. Before you do anything to the stock put some spacers on it to find the length of pull you like. Next if you wish you could have a stocker add a piece of wood to the stock to make it fit you. It can be done beautifully. Post some pictures on this site and get good advice! Good luck! David

I can't find a thing on Ebay.

A plastic buttplate is not proper on a Trojan. A hard rubber repro is probably available from Galazan or an original from one of our members. A buttplate should be way in the future if you are going to build a new stock.
