Need a set of Parker repro barrels fitted
Does any have a recommend of someone to fit a set of Parker repro barrels to a Parker repro frame? 20 ga has existing 26 in barrels and would like to add a set of 28 in barrels. And fit existing forend to both barrels. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Do you mean you've tried them and they don't fit? That would be very unusual because most of them do.

Yes, I tried them and the barrels will not even start into the frame. They mike approx. .002 too wide to enter the slot in the frame. I as surprised at this also.

.002" isn't much at all. I would try smoking them and the judicious use of the finest diamond file to fit them myself.

Thanks Dean. I will give that a try.

Well, I spent two hours with smoke and fine wet stones and they now fit and work perfectly. Forend fits, ejectors work, all is good. Thank you Dean for your suggestions.

I'm glad it worked for you James.

I wouldn't have had the stones to try that--and I ain't talking about whetstones!

If you take your time and use quality fine files and stones and a smoke pot, re-smoking and trial fitting after every 4 or 5 strokes it’s not so hard at all. Patience is key.
