Selective trigger issue need help
I have a 12 gauge DHE Parker reproduction, it has been only shot a few times since its purchase in the 90’s.
Last week I tried it out on some skeet and the trigger selector button would move to a middle position after a few shots and then it would not fire. I could move back into my position and it would fire a few more times then the same issue would happen. I’m looking for some to take it apart and clean it and or repair it. Looking for some that knows Parker’s and will do a good job. Bob |
Bob - Where are you located? I'm sure there must be someone who can help.. I am the furthest thing from a Repro that you will ever find, but I'll guess the gun just needs a good cleaning. 30 years of dried old Japanese lubricants may be the issue.

Thanks
Eastern Massachusetts Bob |
Dan Cullity in East Sandwich has worked on my 2 Parker Repros. Had them cleaned and lubed last year as both safety’s were feeling sticky and the left firing pin on my 12 gauge was hanging up. Was told the old lube had dried and gummed up the innards. Both guns worked perfectly now.

Thanks
Could you send me contact info Bob |

If that doesn't work I can personally vouch for Dan May at Classic Gunstocks in Oswego NY (he also owns Miller Single Trigger Co.) My 28 repro single trigger went to him and he rebuilt a spring and cleaned it all up no issues now. Like most of these guys he is quite busy and there's always a wait.

Thanks
I was going to call them tomorrow and see if they can do the work. The good thing is that it is not time sensitive. |
I recently acquired what appears to be a new unfired and apparently un-assembled 28 repo with a single trigger that was extremely tight from the gummed up oil.
I used Kano Kroil to loosen up and free the moving parts and now this old girl works like new. Kroil will not attack metal or wood. Check it out and decide for yourself. |
