Two Parker 20s with some backup

It didn't take long to warm our hands on this cool morning. The barrels warmed fast with a great morning flight. Dale shot his GH20 to start, and finished with a Smith 16. I started with a VH20, and cleaned up with my DS20.

Wow. Why does one need to warm up their hands in Arizona? : ) Isn't it always like 123 degrees? VERY nice and what a nice bunch of iron.

Looks like fun!

Wow, lots of good shooting

Dale and I both lost our little "hunting buddies" 3 years ago to old age. They were the work horses of the hunt. I now know why my back aches and my legs are sore after a morning of shooting. Retrieval is work, time to get another dog!

looks like somebody really had some fun till it turned into work picking up all those doves....charlie

Shoot, retrieve, shoot, retrieve, shoot retrieve. .......,no complaints, sure beats a good day at work! We can get spoiled by having a good dog Charlie. I'll get another setter when I'm retired.

Inquiring minds, what do you do with the birds?
|
Doves are delicious. I know what I would do with them
|
Me too, Mills. And, the Eurasians (ringneck) taste just about as good as the mourning doves I grew up on. We don't have the numbers of "ringnecks" here that they do in AZ. If we did I'd be too broke to buy shells. But, we have a few of them show up in dove fields every now and then.
