13th

hoping not to miss it again

Larry Frey 01-27-2015 06:55 PM

Mark,
Thanks for giving everyone a heads up. As always this was on our calendar very early. Not sure why Ernie moved it up to Thursday but we usually go a day early anyway to shoot Rock Mountain so this year I guess we will just visit Mike on Sunday.

Dean Romig 01-27-2015 07:16 PM

We wouldn't miss it. Definitely a big favorite for Kathy and me.

Mark Ouellette 01-27-2015 07:18 PM

This is my favorite shoot! The course is great, the big tent always holds SxS bargains that I can't possibly live without, and because everyone comes to the big tent, there is a lot of comradery!

Mark Beasland 01-27-2015 07:59 PM

Mark, Don't forget the bargains in the little red trailer! and to stop by the Hospitality awning for a refreshment!

PS thanks for the great photo!

Was just wondering when the shoot was and hoping it didnt conflict with my wifes birthday, looks like we are good to go. This is my favorite shoot also- I may get in Wed afternoon this year, never shot at Rock Mtn before, but heard its top knotch also.
See you all there

Mike Koneski 02-04-2015 09:47 AM

Of all the SxS shoots I attend, this is my favorite. Could be because it's not even 1/2 hour away!! Ernie had his reasons for moving it up a day. Just gives me an extra day off!! WOO-HOO!!
BTW, don't forget the Fox-Parker Challenge. Can you say "DOMINATION"?

Dean Romig 02-04-2015 09:54 AM

Yeah, I can.... "Domi-Parker-Nation!" How's that? :draw:

Brian Dudley 02-04-2015 12:48 PM

Unfourtunately the dates for this year's NE conflict with the dates for the Rochester Gun show that I help organize. We are moving to a new location and shows are being held in June and Sept now.

For this year's NE, I will not be able to exhibit with tables as I cannot be there the whole time. But I will be there on Thursday and Friday Morning.

Wager??

Dean Romig 02-04-2015 01:51 PM

If Team Fox needs even more humiliation, I suppose a small wager could be arranged.

How about the team shooting the lower score make a $100 contribution in the name of the PGCA vs. AHFCA Challenge to the NSSF's youth program http://sssfonline.org/donate/ ??

Will that do?

scott kittredge 02-04-2015 05:30 PM

i can't wait to shoot this year, we ( NH guys) are talking about going down early to try the Rock Mountain shoot. scott :corn:

Dean Romig 02-04-2015 06:07 PM

See you guys there Scott!

Mike Koneski 02-05-2015 12:18 AM

Dean, if by "more humiliation" you mean another Team Fox victory, then yes, we're ready for more!!! :rotf: We can discuss this more as we repeat the Fall Southern Parker victory over LC Smith down at the Spring Southern. :) We could also make it more interesting and the losing team must use the winning team's brand of gun in the Main Event. You guys all own Fox guns?

Why would we own a Fox when we have a Parker? :rotf:  :duck:

Dave Suponski 02-05-2015 06:05 AM

Exactly Scott!

Dean Romig 02-05-2015 07:16 AM

I've never needed a Faux shotgun... I have Parkers - the real deal.

Rich Anderson 02-05-2015 01:03 PM

I eagerly await the 16ga Fox I'm having restocked to suit me. I do ponder the reason behind Ernie's change of dates.

Mike Koneski 02-05-2015 01:11 PM

10bore, Dave and Dean, y'all better bring "The Finest Gun in the World" with you to use in the Main Event!! Geez, it's only February and the smack talk is flying!! :rotf: :corn: It's all good.

Rich Anderson 02-05-2015 01:53 PM

One thing is for certain our Parker's will be Reliable:rotf::rotf:

Dave Suponski 02-05-2015 02:09 PM

Ya.....Old and Reliable.

Austin J Hawthorne Jr. 02-06-2015 03:35 PM

I'll be there with my 16 ga. Trojan. If I remember correctly, I promised Edgar that he could shoot it.

That settles it. I'll be there, same camping spot as usual.

And, by "shoot it" you mean I can point it down range and let shot fly? Only reason I ask is every time I see someone throw a new gun up to their shoulder, they say something like "Wow, I could shoot this gun". Well, Duh..........so could I. Now, hitting stuff, that's another matter entirely.

Edgar your getting just a little to technical in your old age. :rotf::rotf:

Austin J Hawthorne Jr. 02-06-2015 06:50 PM

Edgar, I'll be sure to pick up some spreaders from Morris. You'll hit something with'em.

That makes a second 16ga Trojan he's going to have to do a clinic with: he still hasn't blessed mine

I LOVE IT! It's only February and already the hash is slinging!!
Robin and I haven't even formalized this year's FPC Tee Shirt....LOL!

Mike Koneski 02-07-2015 11:04 AM

It'll be a Fox in a henhouse full of lamps and coffee grinders. You know, the reliable stuff!! :rotf:

Dave Suponski 02-11-2015 08:24 PM

Also as in last years event this years Northeast SxS Classic will be host to the Fox/Parker Challenge. So please if you intend on trying to qualify for team Parker please see Dave Suponski.I can be found at the PGCA booth where we will have a sign up sheet.

Mike Koneski 02-12-2015 04:42 PM

The Fox-Parker event qualifying will be shot Thursday and most likely up until 2:00-3:00 PM Friday with the shoot-off to follow shortly thereafter. We hope to have it all wrapped up by 5:00 Friday at the latest.

Kenny Graft 03-03-2015 08:29 AM

I would like to join the fun too! Do they have camping set up area? I may have to bring my Gordon setter with me.

Dean Romig 03-03-2015 08:39 AM

Kenny, a few folks pitch tents up in the end of the parking field. No electricity, no water, no toilet facilities up there... and probably no open fires.

Kenny, talk to Edgar he camped there last year.

edgarspencer 03-04-2015 12:22 PM

Allan McLane and I have camped twice. The first year we were the only ones there, several more last year. True tent camping beats a motel any day.

Apparently you do. My air mattress and cot are about as comfortable as it gets, and I'll take skeeters over bed bugs any day.

Rich Anderson 03-04-2015 02:24 PM

Yes I do. I have done all the wilderness camping I care to and have grown accustomed to the comforts in life bed bugs be damned!:rotf: I know I won't get Lyme's disease:rotf:

Last year we were joined by Matt Valinsky and Craig Smith, among others.

There's a big advantage to being able to nurse an adult beverage well into the evening with pleasant company and not having to worry about going anywhere else!

I had saved an article at one time- wish I could find it

the premise was that it was disrespectful to the author's ancestors to camp or sleep outdoors

he said that his ancestors had suffered and fought the elements and beasts for thousands of years so that he could sleep in a comfortable bed in an air conditioned or heated home and warm his food in a microwave.

and after all they went through he would not insult their memory by moving back to the woods
