Prayers up for you and Star. Our English Cocker Scout had the same type of surgery when he was a pup and recovered well without any issues. I hope Star has a good recovery and outcome.

My daughter's lab was diagnosed with cancer about three years ago. She was given three months to live. She still with us today.

I do not want to jinx this, but just talked with the hospital. Everything doing fine. If all still goes well may come home as early as tomorrow:)
If I have learned anything from this is that you need to be an advocate for your dog. I was and the surgeon told me last night after surgery that thank goodness I brought him in yesterday, for today may have been to late. I kept pushing the Vets in NH that he was not right and needed more attention and tests. They cannot advocate for themselves, they need us to do that. |
I could'nt agree more Steve. You know your dogs and their daily routine and when something is out of kilter for more than 24hrs. you need to react. Things happen so much more rapidly with dogs and the sooner the better. Still praying.
