I like them just the way they are. I would not have them refinished.

its there, to about the stock

Why the worry about the stock repair other than it wasn't hid very well. If someone ran a couple of screws and epoxy in it the stock should be good to go.

I've had Brad redo about 5 or 6 barrels and feel even on a " beater " it's well worth the money. What's another 4 to 500 dollars when you can then see the beautiful Damascus barrels ? Making them is a lost art never to be repeated.

Thanks for all the PGCA members who helped me confirm my weapon's barrels were Damascus and had been blued sometime in the last 100 years.
I sent the barrels to Buck Hamlin and the stock to Clint Meier and they did a spectacular job repairing the Damascus, barrel dents, ugly previous stock repair and recheckering. I highly recommend them. Note: I asked Buck to "brown" the barrels instead of "Black and White" because I wanted the contrast. I know it's not factory, but I prefer it. Sam |
Wow! Awesome results

Fish-tail lever and a killer stick of wood: love it.

Sam, you needed not have worried, the black and white would have turned brown without much help and you would have had better contrast to start with. The Britts do em brown, the Americans do em B/W.
