You'll eventually find them, but you're going to have be real diligent and look real hard---and you might wait awhile before a set becomes available. There were a couple of 12-ga. 28" barrels sets sold within the last couple of years, one of them an unfired set for a Steel Shot Special. They are out there and a set will eventually become available, but expect to pay ~ $1900 for them. I would recommend you put out a "Wanted To Buy" ad on all the double gun oriented sites, cross your fingers and see what happens.

Here is one at Cabelas, but it has 26" barrels.

And thanks for the posts gents................

I will say the 12ga repro's with 28" barrels and DT are the most scarce of the standard run guns right behind the 410 sets. Single trigger guns will come availible but 28" DT guns are very very scarce indeed...I can remember only two 12ga.-28" DT guns selling on the net in the past 5-6 years that I have been watching. I know of three DHE 410/28 sets that have DT and I think there is only 4 or 5 410 ever made with DT.......I have been after a BHE grade DT repro in any gauge for a long long time with no luck!!!! I have never seen a BHE DT gun for sale on the net!!! Whats that tell us??? SXS ohio....(-:

Is this thread about 28" 12-ga. Repro barrels or 12-ga. Repros with 28" barrels?

Kenny, you and I must not be looking at the same gun listings. Over the years I've seen several 12-ga. Repros with 28" barrels and DT's listed, albeit not as many as you'll find with ST's of course.

Wild Skies...I check the big three auctions everyday now for years and several other sights.....you must have some special places to look. I have found only two guns that were original DT and 28" 12ga repro's, plus one sporting clays gun that had a pad installed. I will say when one comes up its gone in short notice if not a stupid high price. I don't follow the live auction houses mutch either and may miss some good ones there. They really are hard to find, I don't think there was that many made. Im good on DHE guns but still looking for a BHE DT gun in any gauge...so if you find one let me know...thanks Kenny....(-:

Your inference is that the double triggers on this gun were an aftermarket addition ... Correct ?

Kenny Graft

Parker reproductions made both double and single trigger guns, no one knows actual numbers but its been said about 50% of them had DT in the overall run and could actualy be more like 30%. Less than 1/4 of the guns I see for sale have double triggers. Me thinks way less in the hard to find short run models, maybe 10%? In recent times some 12 ga. guns have been converted from single trigger to double trigger due to rarity...just not many 12ga. repro guns availible with DT and 28" barrels. Sporting clays, steel shot spl. and the BHE grade guns are very scarce and I have never seen a original double trigger one for sale except for one that was converted from a single trigger. thanks all, SXS ohio...(-:

I have a 12 ga. in 28" IC/Mod, DT, 3" chambers (not a SSS), straight stock, splinter forend. Geez, I had no idea they were so rare! Maybe it's not so bad what I had to pay James Wayne to get it :vconfused:!

You have a good one Joe....few have 3" chambers, makes it even more scarce. Rats I must of mist one....(-: Post some pics of that one Joe....SXs ohio

I wouldn't necessarily categorize 28" 12-ga. repros with DT's, SG and SPL as rare. Two squadmates on the winter skeet league that I shoot in had them, but both have since sent them down the river of commerce. One identical to Joe's, the other fellow had a DHE 2-bbl. set with factory fitted B-grade barrels. I, too, have one---a DHE Sporting Clays Classic model.

Kenny, you missed the 20-ga. 28" BHE, SG, SPL, DT, 3", M/F with killer wood that Cabela's had a while back.

Its not the 28" barrels or the DT that make it so rare. It is the Ic/M choke and 3" chambers!!!

Today was a lucky day...(-: I perchased a minty 12ga. steel shot spl. 28" ic/mod with 3"hambers, English stock, beavertail, SST in its maker case. I prefer double triggers but the price was right and the need to changing barrel selection will be mutch less of a issue when duck/goose shooting than upland hunting....It will come next week......If they ever make steel manditory in Kansas this will make a nice rooster gun......SXS ohio.....(-:

I received the steel shot spl. and here are the specs...........SG-SST-BTF weight is frame 3lbs-9 3/4 oz, barrels 3lbs-1 3/4oz and forend is 11oz. Total weight is 7lbs-6 1/2oz. This is the heaviest 12 repro I own. I have two PG-DT SF with 28" barrels one comes in at 6lbs-12oz and the other at 6lbs-13 1/2oz Parker story states that the streel shot spl. was strenthened. Its weight is 1/2 lb or better then my regular DHE guns. Barrels: bores are .735 on my Stan Baker bore tool, rt tube choke is .007, left is .012 Note I have suspected this tool to read .005 less than the true measurment, if so the bore would read 740 as stated in TPS..... I will add pics if they load....SXS ohio...(-:

Hi guys, What are 4 same serial numbered Repro's DHE in 410, 28,20, and 12 guages worth. The 28,20, and 12 are 3 barrel sets and the 410 single set. All are unused. Thanks
