I have a new DH that I would like to have the engraving repointed. Do any of you have a suggestion on who could do it and perhaps a ballpark figure? Much appreciated.

Aha, that's why you were interested if I purchased that DH from Charlie. Best on your new gun.

Checkering is "repointed", engraving is "picked up". Talk to Geoffroy Gournet to see what is feasible. GG has saved some nice guns for me over the years and is a Parker engraving expert.

Thanks, Don. How do I reach him?

Gentlemen: Along that line, can anyone recommend someone to rechecker the forend of a DH that has worn smooth but some lines can still be seen. I also have a GH that needs the same treatment.:)

Gournet does all of my engraving. He is the guy. You may want to have the action annealed first to soften the metal for cutting. Then you have to re-case.
