Near Brevard, NC. The fish were not biting, but you don't need fish to enjoy these kind of surroundings

if the fish bit, it would have disturbed your nap.:rotf:

That's why you need to carry a cute little sawed-off CHE Parker 20 gauge with the buttstock sawed off right behind the pistol grip. Just made for hip-shootin' snakes!

No kidding. We had a snake swim up on my son while we were at the lake on this trip. They have rattlesnakes as far north as the French River in Ontario. Doesn't Ireland have no snakes, but then don't they have gun control laws? One just cannot win. :banghead:

BUT this scene is about 5,000 feet above sea level, it is 70 degrees on the 4th of July, and snakes don't like the cold

I was wondering if someone would say that. Global warming has caught up to Coastal Georgia. Would not mind moving north where it is cooler :crying:

I am not so sure that snakes don't live at high altitude. My place in Colorado is at 7000 feet and has some pretty big rattlesnakes.

Dean I always though those sawed off small bores were for liquor store's and Mini Mart hold ups :whistle. I did have a single shot 20ga sawed off to just over 18 inches while in college. We used to drive around out in the country and shoot cats:shock:

We used to bluegill fish a place that in the springtime when the cottonmouths were breeding, you had to fish with two hands. One for your cane pole and the other for a single shot 20 gauge loaded with 8's. Man you sure could wear out those big black bream though, it was worth it.
