I just purchased a PH grade Parker and it has a stock that has been shortened by an inch. What would be the best way to restor it to full length.
thanks

A period correct pad such as a Jostam, Silvers or Hawkins would be a fine, easy and inexpensive way to do it. Those pads are what would be considered more correct for the gun. However, the Pachmyer old english leather face pads are very nice looking as well. And the sporting clays version of that pad is one heck of a pad.

Another option is to always add a wood extension onto the stock and have a guy like Mark Larson blend it in with his magic.

You didn't state wether or not the gun still has the Parker butt plate or not. If it does then a slip on pad would preserve this. I use on regularly for several short stocked guns.

Thanks for the reply C.O.B. It does not have a parker but plate but generic black plastic plate
