Friends:
Do any of you happen to know the correct thread size for the Parker hammerless top pin (the big "screw" under the top lever)?

I think it's 12-28 thread, but I may be wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Best, Kensal

Kensal, The top tang screws that I have measured were .200 x 30 TPI

Thanks for your insight. I finally managed to check one through a Brownells "screw checker" and it came out 12-28. But my needs are for a GH with No. 2 bbls. Other top pins may be different for other frame sizes. Again, thanks much.

Kensal, Thanks for your reply. I checked these screws on an optical comparator. And that is what I came up with. I have a couple of those screw checkers in my box but I have found that on some fine thread pitch's they can be lacking.

FYI, the reason I'm checking this is that I've run into my first stripped Parker top pin screw. Some bodger not only stripped the threads off the screw -- but out of the bottom plate too! I need to have the pin thread end welded up a bit, turn it, and re-thread. I managed to save the threads in the plate... I think! I've got a welder who can handle anything.
