There are large differences between ask and actual sale prices these day.

You can ask for the moon in prices, but in reality, the guns are selling low. Here is a recent Parker Reproduction 28 gauge that took three 3 day auctions to sell at $4300

I hope one of us bought that wonderful 28" beauty. Love that semi wild wood! I have only ever owned one Repro, but I would be tempted by that one if I ever wanted another.

Now here's an optimistic seller that believes the good ol' days are with us again.

Yeah, he's dreaming. However, one 12 gauge that is holding up is the BHE. What is the value of a less than mint BHE 12 gauge two barrel set, straight grip, single trigger, splinter? With field scratches on the stock and wear on the colors, I'm thinking $3500 to $5000, maybe on the low side of that. What do you think?

Bill, is the BHE that you're referring to listed on the internet...got a link?

If I found an originally equipped BHE 12, 2-bbl. set on the light-side of $3500.-$5000., I'd be whistling "Happy Days Are Here Again"!

The BHE two barrel set I mentioned was at a live auction, sold for $5000 plus buyer's premium. Buying a field used Repro is always an excuse to have the wood refinished in oil.
