FYI- take a look at Gun broker item No. 241311366- a California gunshop has a "Parker" buttstock for sale at a bid level of $200- how would you verify it is from a Parker from the fotos, also frame size- the jaws are scalloped, like on some Euro and Continental double guns, and the butt is checkered, but has three holes- why?

Not like any Parker stock I have seen?

There is absolutely nothing about that buttstock that says 'Parker' to me.

Several Merkels HERE (http://www.757arms.com/Site_2/Shotguns/Shotguns.html) After you see the first couple, keep scrolling down, there are more.

Merkel is my guess. May be off base but in the ball park I think.

(Pre-PGCA, I never knew what's a Merkel)

I think merkel is a very good guess

It could also be from a Belgian gun, without seeing the inletting, who knows. The holes in the butt could be from use as a pattern on a stock duplicator.

That thing has been for sale for months. If they would take the time to figure out what it is it would probably sell quick. There is a forend under Ithaca parts That I am pretty sure is from a parker SBT if anyone needs one gb #242363717

That buttstock has been on GB for a long time advertised as a Parker. The seller obviously does not know what it is, and must be no one else has been able to tell him what it is either.

I told him it wasn't a Parker stock but he never changed it. I guess he's hoping for that
P T Barnum sucker.

I told him it wasn't a Parker stock but he never changed it. I guess he's hoping for that
P T Barnum sucker.--If he's selling it "one way only" no returns, indeed he is a student of old Phineas T. Barnum-- Not as good as these two "gems" I have seen recently on various gun auction websites: (1) A DHE 20 on a Number 3 frame- yup, and (2) A Parker No. 2 frame "Heavy Duck" model--go figure, ey??:rotf::corn::):)

If he actually did know what it was and could state it in the auction, I am sure it would be worth his asking price to someone.

Kind of looks like a JP Sauer or something to me.
