View Full Version : How to reload 2 7/8" 10ga video

I literally threw this together in about 1/2 hour. I realize that the lighting and camera work could be better, perhaps if this is well received I will attempt to improve upon it. I hope it helps demystify loading for the short ten. Enjoy.
As you will see there are only two things different from loading other gauges, first cutting/trimming hulls to 2 7/8" length, second placing the needed amount of filler wad in the base of the shotcup to allow for a proper crimp. Other than that every other step for reloading a shotgun shell is the same.

Very well done.:) I shorten ten Ga. cases on the table saw with the help of a jig made from a piece of "two by four".

Because I got a bargain on Gunbroker last year and bought 725 Federal hulls at great price. :)

Great job Peter Just the ticket fore a beginner like me I hope to start loading the short 10 soon, after i have finished the progect i am doing at the moment

Thank you Stephen I am happy to hear some folks found it helpful. Loading for the short 10 is pretty simple and shooting a short 10 is a lot of fun.

Well i use a band saw .
