does any body out there have a pet 3 inch load to share for turkeys... it is a 12 ga.... charlie

I don't load for 3" 12ga. Are you looking for lower pressure? Lyman's 5th has a small number of 3" loadings. The lowest are right around 8,000psi. If you want a couple, let me know. I'd be glad to look them up for you.

thanks for the tip marcus...was low pressure i was looking for... friend had a lyman 5th ed. got the recipe and have loaded up some shells and will be trying them after noon meal...gonna try 50 steps for the range and draw me some pictures of a turkey .. will knoy shortly how i come out...

2 3/4" shells loaded with 1 1/4 oz. #6 is all I've ever needed for turkeys at 45 yards or less with a full/full Parker 12.

some of us shoot stevens and need that extra lead...i shot them paper turkeys killed all 5 of them.. now if i can figure out how to cook this card board turkey without burning it...looked on the recipe forem but no body has posted how to cook this cardboard yet....killed one of these turkeys today at 62 steps with this old stevens side by side... charlie
