Vom Wildflugel kennel in Nebraska, I made a trip out to the sand hills this Dec. for a Mulley hunt and stopped in to Jill's kennel.
Recommend your picture for Parker of the month.

Thanks Bob. It is a beautiful picture - Taken with a droid 2 cell phone - hard to believe. My wife had it blown up and framed for my Christmas gift this year. Looks great in my gun room.
I miss the Marsh.

Nice pic Mark. I got my first Drathaar in 1980 when I got out of the service. By the time I was done I had 11 of them, great dogs. These days I have 4 Setters. Your photo takes me back, the marsh looks nice. You,re a good photographer. Are you in Idaho?

Fred - Thanks for the kind words. 11 Drats - You are a lucky man! I am fortunate to have this one. She is coming into her own now. I think she will be a great retriever soon. She is already a great companion to myself and (more importantly) my wife and daughter.

This picture is not set up at all. It is just a shot of a moment during a duck hunt at the Vanderbilt Marsh - located about 1 mile north of Montezuma National Wildlife refuge in Upstate New York - The shot was taken with my cell phone. I saw her sitting at attention watching ducks in the distance and I just laid down my Parker and took 4 pictures of the scene. I like the one I posted the best.
Glad you enjoyed it. My avatar is a shot of us coming in from the hunt on the same day. I like that one almost as much.

Mark I hunted deer in the Pulaski area for a few years, Tug Hill area, we saw thousands of geese every year and have always wanted to hunt them.

3 Devils is a respected program out here.

In 1980 when I got my first one, even the vet didn't know what it was. On one of the puppy checks he looked at it and said, "that thing got mixed up in a bunch of places". Sure made me a believer in pointing dogs.

Mark, was looking at the Dam and Sire of my not born yet pup and checking out the Sire which is out of von den drei Teufeln... aka 3 devils kennels.
This waiting in anticipation for this pup is like waiting for a new Parker to arrive in the mail.

BOB - Good for you!

Pup looks great!

Your daughters smile brings back thoughts of the night I presented Emma to my little girl! One of those times I will always remember like it was yesterday.

Thanks Mark and Bill.
Mark are you using a Garmin DC-30 or 40 on Emma?
I'm strongly considering the purchase of one. Nothing worse than running around a swamp in the middle of the night looking for a dog.

Well, Otto and I finally got out on some birds, it's been one thing after another this fall, he's gotten into two Porcupines one at the hunt area we where about to hunt but the picture shows it didn't slow him down any after the three of us held him down and plucked them out. He's looking at my DH like how could a fine looking gun like that miss so much? I hope my shooting comes around so he doesn't disown me. He made his first duck retrieve without any encouragement so I couldn't be happier.

Bob -

Otto is a very handsome young dog. Good for you! That is a great photo to remember his first hunt with. Congradulations on a fine start. I hope you have many more together.
