Dick comes to the Duluth Puglisi shoot. Grand fellow. Elderly now, in his 80's. Good engraver. What do you want to know?

Examples of Dick's engraving on the brass hardware of this Huey case. Done in 2009 in the Parker style.

Come to the Duluth / Puglisi shoot and give Mr Washburn a call to ask him to come over. Duluth was fortunate to have two excellent craftsmen, Dick Washburn and George Flaim ( now deceased). The Puglisi gun shop is also there and one can spend many hours there.

Dick Washburn’s personal gun that he engraved. He sold it. If you do a search of the Washburn name on this forum, you will see many photos of this gun and of a set of engraved case fittings.

Dick engraved small bore Parkers for Dr Kunkle of Duluth. Those guns were sold after Dr Kunkle passed away. John Puglisi may know where they are.

I am getting a guitar built and I wanted to get more of his engravings for reference for custom fretboard inlay work.

He has engraved many small items for us over the years to include spoons, potato peelers, knives, pretty much anything! And when I was very young he showed me how to engrave on his bowling ball he cut in half and installed a vice to it. He was truly gifted at that!

Shane,
I ended up with your grandfathers collection of Parker Pages which is the newsletter that the Parker Gun Collectors Association puts out quarterly. It is almost a complete set from the very beginning. He must have joined the Parker Gun Collectors Association at the very beginning of it. There are different little notes he has written in them about various things in the newsletter. It is a very cool Parker Gun Library to own.
