Took Callie out again to work over birds. She found every bird, pointed, held point, steady to wing and shot and retrieved to hand!! She's going to be a very good dog!! BTW, the 16g Fox performed admirably. :D

She looks like a keeper Mike. If there is a better feeling of walking up to your dog on point with classic SxS in hand anticipating the flush then God kept it for himself. It never gets old.

Mike, not to hijack the thread, but are you using the Garmin beeper collar to indicate your pup is on point? I've got the Garmin GPS collar, but I'm looking for an audible signal for when my setter is on point. Your pics look like the one I have been considering. Are you happy with it? Did you just slide it onto your GPS collar?

That's way cool Mike! Nothing like watching a young dog develop into a true hunter. Wishing you both many more season ahead.

Dave, I use the Sport Dog locator collars. Only time I use the beeper is if I can't see the dogs or I want them to return to me. I hang a bell from their collars too. These collars do have a run/point mode, but I prefer to run silent except for the bell.

Mike,
thanks for the great pictures, your dog is looking great. I am going to train my brittany to retrieve next. Breeder has offered to help me with his training. I cannot believe how much dogs have meant to me since meeting my girlfriend and now wife. Keep the dog pictures coming please.
