As a new member on this forum and new to Parker, my learning curve is quite steep. My PH, as mentioned in another thread, was restocked, sometime in the past. The stock was fitted extremely well, but lacks checkering. I am sending it to Clint Meier, at CGM, to have the original style grip pattern checkered. Clint is asking me to find out how many lines per inch and what the pattern looks like. I could measure the forearm checkering, but I don't know if that's the same as the grip. Other than copy pages from magazines and books, is there anyplace I can go that shows the various patterns that Parker used. Thanks in advance.

Have you looked at the Parker Grades pages? There are many pictures that have grip and fore end pictures. If you click on the small pictures they will expand and give you some good detail.

Don,
The lines per inch for that grade are known just not by me so hopefully someone here can help you with that info. As far as the correct pattern, if your guy can work from pictures that’s great but I have seen people use paper and pencil to create a rubbing that can be overlaid on a new stock and allow for a good match. If you know someone with a similar grade gun perhaps this would be a good option for you.

Don, go to the home page then look in the left colum for grades to veiw examples. I would use the same LPI that is on the fore end
