Just had a question about the Parker Pages delivery time line. I am a new member and received the Winter issue of the Parker Pages with my membership info, which I received in early March. I was wondering when the Spring issue would be out. I just wanted to make sure I haven't missed an issue of the excellent publication.

I believe it is at press as we speak but Austin will likely respond as to when it will be sent out.

Anyone interested in information that was in past Parker Pages, there is now an index of all the articles that have been published found on the "Parker Pages" web page.

I hope it will give those of you who are not members of the PGCA an idea of what you are missing and also provide PGCA members an index to articles they may need for research or .....

Enjoy.

OK, I'll walk you through it.

On our main web page www.parkerguns.org click on the "Parker Pages" link in the list of links on the left. The page that comes to view has a section Past Parker Pages Index:, click as directed.

The page that comes to view is the index. It lists each article published with its author; grouped in the year it was published.

If you are interested in finding a specific article or author, you can search the index in your web browser. To search, enter a "ctrl" and an "f" key simultaneously. Somewhere on your web browser a empty text box will appear; the text box location depends on which browser you are using. Enter what you want to search for into that empty text box and any matching text found will be highlighted for you to easily locate .

With this information you can go to your stash of Parker Pages and find what you are looking for, or you can ask a friend that might have the issue you need for a quick read.

FYI - some background information on how this index came to be. Several years ago the PGCA had a project underway to digitize all the Parker Pages and use that to create a CD to be sold. The project was nearing completion when one of the contributing authors pointed out that his submission was submitted with a once use copyright and the PGCA was about to violate his copyright. So, to avoid legal problems the project was scrapped. Trying to salvage something from the work, the index that was to be used on the CD to find and display any article was changed to the index you see here on our web page. It's not what had been hoped for but ....

I hope this helps.
