I will be there. Had a great time last year. However, I shot on an L.C. Smith squad. Reverend Charlie and his sons were good company and shot better than I did.

Thanks to Chuck for setting this up over so many years. How about we make it interesting this year for those who care to participate in a challenge of sorts. Those interested put in $20.00 apiece and shoot together in a squad or squads (no score ur own, any gauge, NSCA rules). 40% of the pot goes to the top scoring shooter and 60% goes to a youth shooting program of Chuck's choosing.

Anyone interested?

How about 60% to top team and 40% to YHEC?? Team Fox is ready.

Chuck Bishop

How about 90% to the person who organized the shoot and 10% to the low man in the competition. That way I know I'll win it all:whistle::rolleyes::rotf:

Chuck, Is that your idea of a "Modified Lewis" ? :rotf::)

Chuck Bishop
02-17-2016, 08:01 PM
Nah, my idea is guaranteed money to me. Unless you are at the top of the Lewis, you may put in $20 and get back 15.50 if your luckey.

Attached is a flyer for the Central Pa SxS shoot April 16th 2016.

We're going to do a Benefit shoot to help Gary Laudermilch's Lambs Creek SCTP team. The entry fee is $20 based on 100 sporting clays targets. 50% will go to the Midway USA Foundation in the name of the Lambs Creek team. The other 50% gets divided up as follows. 25% to high gun, the other 75% gets divided into a Looney Lewis. Once all the scores are in they are sorted high to low score. A number from 1 to 100 is drawn out of a bucket. You keep picking until the number matches a score. That's the first class in the Looney Lewis. The total number of shooters will determine how many Looney Lewis classes there will be. Ties will be broken reverse long run.

Think of it this way, the entry fee is only 2 boxes of RST shells and you are supporting a group of young shooters.

Thanks and see you April 16th at Blue Ridge.
Chuck

Chuck and others,

On behalf of our kids SCTP team I cannot thank you enough for considering us as a donation recipient.

I hope to be at the shoot but that is a scheduled practice day for the kids. Plus, I have to be at Blue Ridge the following weekend for a SCTP shoot. If I can get away, I'll be there. We had fun last year.

Bringing this to the top. Shoot is next Saturday starting at 9:00am. The kitchen is available for a light breakfast and the normal hot dogs/hamburgers/barbecue for lunch. Bring your A game, Mike of the Mountain takes no prisoners! Weather looks promising, sunny with highs in the low 60's.

Hope to see you there!

We drink the blood of the vanquished from a gold crucible!! (Loud Victory horns) We do this for the benefit of Youth Shooters from Lamb's Creek, not because we really, really like to drink blood from a crucible.

A big thumbs up to Chuck for another great shoot today. The weather was PERFECT, the targets were great and the new clubhouse was impressive. I know everyone I shot with had a ball and our lewis class money went to a good cause.

Way to go Robin! Hoping your trip back home was a good one. It was a pleasant surprise to see you and your beautiful AH.

Congrats Robin!! Beautiful day, fun time with our SxS brothers. Not many "gimme" targets out there and the scores reflected that!! Good warm-up for Deep River. See y'all in Sanford!!

Beautiful weather yesterday, not a cloud in the sky, temps in the high 60's and no wind! We had 32 total SxS shooters and 20 played the Looney Lewis. $200 will be donated to Gary Laudermilch's SCTP team from Mansfield Pa. and Midway USA matches that amount. The rest of the money went 25% to High Gun, and 3 Lewis places. They each got $50. The Lewis places were selected by drawing random numbers until a number was pulled matching a score. High gun deserves money but I'm glad to see the lower scores come away with money! Attached is the list of total SxS shooters and those that played the Looney Lewis.

Damn, it looks like you guys had fun. I would have been there were it not for the flu I have been battling for over a week now.

On behalf of Team Lambs Creek I want to personally thank all of you for contributing to our team's Midway USA account. It is through the generosity of guys like you that we keep some kids shooting instead of doing other stuff. Thank you very much!

Our very own Chuck Bishop's bench of lost targets. Not that I shot any better as some of those targets are mine. So, we are saving them for next year to defray the cost of shooting.:bigbye:

Yes it is a nice gun Edgar but whomever owned it previously taught it some bad lessons as it can't break targets with any consistency. I'm gonna work on that.

It had already learned how to miss when I acquired it. I merely reinforced it's bad habits
