Hello,
As a (relatively) new member, I am hoping some of you learned members can assist in some research. I am trying to determine the exact street address of Edw. K. Tryon Jr. & Co. in the year 1901.

My research thus far has uncovered two possible street addresses for the company in 1901 - 220 North Second Street and 19 North Sixth Street. Of course, either or both could be wrong.

Evidently the company had many different names and many different addresses over the 100+ years.

Any help the membership could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Jon,
The first pic is from 1909 and the second is from 1889. There is also a 100 year history of the company that was published in 1911 that cornell publishing sells reprints of on ebay

I have a P twist that was sold to them according to the letter. If, in your research, you unearth any listing by serial number of who they sold guns to I would find it interesting.

You and me both, Gary! Unfortunately, I wouldn't even begin to know where to start looking. Perhaps another member might have some insight.

If you are talking about who Parker Bros. sold guns to, a search of the Order Books is the only source. If you are talking about who E.K. Tryon sold guns to, an original receipt to the buyer is probably the only way to document the sale. THOUSANDS of Parker Guns were shipped to Tryon; one single order listed in the Order Books goes on for over 17 pages.

Thanks everyone. The answer to my original question (for those interested) would be; Their address in 1901 was 10 & 12 North 6th St.

After the death of E. K. Tryon Jr., the name was changed to Edw. K. Tryon Company. (1905)

Does anyone know when Edw. k. Tryon finally closed their doors for good? My research has uncovered three very different dates; 1925, 1936 and 1955.
