I just returned from Hill City KS. We had a great time hunting and found good numbers of wild roosters and some Quail. My parker reproduction in 16ga, dt, pg realy works...My 1st three birds one shot each and in the bag, one long shot over 50 yrds and a double (-: ended the day 4-birds with 5 shots fired. I fed it fiochi H.V. 5# choked ic/full, that load realy slaps em down! Yes Kansas has a 4 bird daily limit. I spent many trips shooting sporting clays this past summer with this repro, it really paid off. The other two guys in my party did a lot of missing with them heavy 12ga. guns..... will post some pics soon...thanks Kenny

Sound like a great hunt; I will look forward to those pictured. I can agree that Fiocjh #5 can be a pretty potent load in a Parker Reprocuvtion 16 gauge, mine has Galazan's Merkel barrels, but they have really worked well. I believe my loads where Golden Pheasants.

The rooster in this picture was flushed to me...We were hunting a 15yads wide mature pine wind brake with field brush on both sides. The dog bumped the bird 60 yards or so out in front and it flew right at me between some taller pines. This was a fast incoming bird, the fiocchi 16ga. hv no.5 load ended the flight....(-: The parker repro 28" ic/full did a great job on these wild Kansas roosters. No need for a 12ga. Dog resting at the end of a great day!
