Stock broke in two locations, wood black with grime, surface rust on most of metal surfaces, barrels with very little damascus pattern visible, couple of pieces of aluminum for a butt plate, a home made extractor that didn't work and had to be replaced. This is a pretty rare 5 frame 10 ga in grade 2, Lifter with check hook, 32" bbls with open chokes, Finally got a chance to shoot SC with it a couple weeks ago and faired 30 for the 50 shot course, at nearly 12 lbs the close fast moving birds are a challenge.

That wood is remarkable! Best wood I've ever seen on a Grade 2. Who did the work? And the barrels - who did those?

WOW! Thanks for bringing this old girl back to life. Not many of my Parkers bear close inspection, however this one of yours is a beauty. I bet you don't stop your swing.

Edgard Baeckelandt did the wood and Brad Bachelder did the bbls, checking, extractor and dog head butt plate

I sent a set of Damascus barrels to Brad on Tuesday. I'm quite certain I'll be pleased with them if they come back looking like yours.

Sure, do you want to shoot it ?? I will be sure load up some 5 dram loads for you.

Yea, I have 55 black powder short 10's loaded up and ready to make some noise. But then, I also have 62 brass 16ga shotshells loaded up too.....choices, choices......:banghead:

I plan on shooting the D grade top lever 12 tomorrow at the Gentlemans Cup in Freeland.......only because I don't have enough (100+) 10ga or 16 ga BP loaded up.

I still admire that gun though I'll say (as you expect me to) that the finish is too bright and the checking too sharp for a gun of that age and use. I'll bring a few smokeless cartridges I've got on stash and we can see if she shoots next weekend. That is, if I go, I'm still thinking about it.....
