In determining the value of my dad's damascus DBL Parker it seems that the serial # is most helpful. There isn't any serial #, just 3545 on the flat metal portion of the stock, when you remove the barrel. also an "H" "4" and a "V" on the flat part of the underside of the barrel. Are any of these numbers useful in determining the value?

It should be on the trigger guard , barrel hook, water table, and on the barrel side of fore end. Bob
Is it a hammer gun or hammerless?
3545 is a D grade under lifter, 10ga. with 30" barrels

Bob: The gun is a hammerless, 12 ga ( I have some of the Peters shells that he used to use) It does have 30" barrels. What is "D" grade? What tells you that it is a "D" grade? I'm not familiar with the terminology i.e. water table etc. Is there a diagram somewhere that shows these areas?
