We want to thank everyone who attended Rock Mountain and Hausmann's Hidden Hollow!! Great weather, great fun and some fine targets!! We ask that you all keep in mind that in 2015 this will be a 4 day shoot at Rock Mountain and will be in the same format as the Spring and Fall Southern shoots. We are actively working on booking vendors and have a few committed already!! There are RV electric hookups here at RMSC and ample parking. We are still finalizing the date, but there will be no conflicts with other SxS shoots!! Any non-profit Gun Collector Associations are welcome to set up free (Fox, Parker, Smith, Lefever, etc). We will also have an expanded Manufacturer Challenge that will include Fox, Parker, Smith, Winchester and Lefever shot off through a qualifier 5-Stand and a 5-Stand finale!! More info to come. :D

Please keep us posted to next years event details and date.

Do I understand correct that it will only be at one location?

All my best,

John

That's correct John. We will host it at Rock Mountain. Plenty of new lodging within 20 minutes of us. The wheels are turning!

Stub, plenty of pics on our website and especially on our Facebook page. Easier to post them on FB than on the website. Here are a few to whet your appetite.

But pictures of the varied and various shooting stations tell the real story. It is a great place to shoot and Mike is a terrific host (and friend). I've only shot once there and I will definitely be back.

Mike, thanks for the quick posting of the winners. I'm also happy to hear the news for next year. Suggestion: if you can move that 4 day Endless back a few weeks, let's say into September, that would give another event here in the northeast a good run for the money.

For info to readers: Mike and Susan are owners of Rock Mountain which is one of the premier clubs in the state and several adjoining ones. RM has hosted the PA Sporting Clays State championship along with the Zone shoot several times now, and at one time considered going for the NSCA's US Open. I've been at all the PA State shoots held there and have seen some 300 shooters hosted with no problems. That was before Mike & Susan owned the club and they've made tons of improvements since then including a new clubhouse that tops most every one I've been in when doing registered/competition sporting in nearby states. Not to mention a fully enclosed pavillion. RM has several top shelf clays courses and "acreage" isn't a limiting factor as at some other classic SxS shoots I've been at. Nuff said for now.

You got it John! In the process now of getting vendors and input from them too. Once we have the date finalized I'll have the info posted on the usual double gun sites.

Have to totally endorse Frank's ("Chromox") comments on the place. After hearing so many good things about it, we made a special trip late last Saturday afternoon down from Binghamton NY so I could 'wring out' my latest Fox with a quick round on the 5-stand. Mike and Susan could not have been nicer, and the place really is impressive. Targets and layout notwithstanding, I'd go back just for the dogs!

We've decided on the dates for the 2015 event. We will host the Endless Mountains SxS Challenge on September 3,4,5 & 6, 2015. Save the dates!! We already have some vendors on board!! Rock Mountain will not charge admission for non-shooters who want to shop with our vendors. Come join us for 4 days of Shotgun Fun!!

We have been speaking with vendors and quite a few have committed. Others are still in the works. We have also been working on the name change for the shoot. It will no longer be the Endless Mountains SxS Challenge. The new title will be the Northern Side by Side Challenge and Expo. Keep an eye out for more info as the dates draw near. We will be running ads in Shooting Sportsman and posting on the SxS sites.

I am up for the September shoot at Mike's club. According to "The Lovely Linda", I may be a major vendor. I don't mean to drop any hints, but that the way it is. It will be all guns, no bird dogs. She still likes the dogs, the guns, not so much.
