The wife and I are going to the gun show in Las Vegas next month. Are any other PGCA or forum members going? I talked to John Gardner and he is planning on going. Anyone else?

I plan to be there. Will be at Dallas Safari Club following weekend, if I have any money left.

Chuck: I'll be set up at the end of the Lefever Collector's tables (oh the shame  ) providing free Damascus pattern 'readings'. I'll likely have a bore gauge (12g) and may bring my Bill Henry wall thickness gauge too. Will be there Friday and Sat. all day. Please come by and show off some nice Damascus
P.S. Don't let the Lefever fellas know, but Jent gave me a bunch of 2014 LCSCA calendars also :bigbye:

Dr. Drew, I won't tell a soul! One thing about Parker, Lefever, Smith, Fox, etc. associations, we all have respect for each other, and that's as it should be.

I could be there either Saturday or Sunday but since you will not be there Sunday, I'll do my best to visit on Saturday. One thing, I need a favor. I'm an old man and I need to sit down occasionally. Walking those isles gives my back and legs problems. Do you have a spare chair for a few minutes?

Hopefully it will be a nice brief enjoyable vacation especially if I keep out of those darn casinos. P.S. they are nice calendars.

Chuck,
My father and I will have a table in the antique show. We will have some Parkers and other trinkets and we are close enough to throw stuff at the Lefever guy's. Stop by and say hello. I always have a spare chair.

Hey Chuck glad to hear your going to make it and thanks for getting this started. If OK with you Drew might be fun to have a bunch of Parker guys meet at the Lefever tables. :) Time? I have only been to the Riviera once before so can't suggest a better place to meet. Maybe someone else has an idea? I'm planning to be there for the whole show as I am tagging on from the SHOT Show which starts a couple days earlier. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I think it would be a good idea to set a time and place to meet. I usually wander around aimlessly. I did manage to find Mr. Noreen at the fox booth and talk to the lefever guys but that was about it.

How does 1:00 pm on Saturday at the Lefever booth sound since Patrick can see that from where he is and then we could migrate to a sitting area for coffee or beer or food, near by. By the time we get introduced and organized at the Lefever booth and hit the beverage area it should be just after the lunch rush. We could also leave a message at the Lefever booth as to where we headed to go sit down and chat for any stragglers. I don't mind reconnoitering out a place to sit down near by as I will be there Friday (and maybe Thursday) unless Drew you know of a spot?

or if you do Patrick?

John,
Offhand I don't. Last year the Riviera looked like it was on its last leg with very few services. The buffet and coffee shop were closed and it was just not a good hotel experience even though the gun show was great as always.

I was in Vegas in September and went down to the Riv to see if the lights were still on and I was pleasantly surprised. They had revamped the casino and were adding some additional seating space in the existing hotel eateries which are brewpub and a oriental place I think. The backend of the property where the show is just has some basic food service in a few places and not a lot of seating. I think it will just depend on what is available and how many people you have.

I completely agree with your assessment of the Riviera Hotel being a bit of a dump Patrick. I cautioned Chuck about staying elsewhere and that the food service in the immediate vicinity of the Show was poor last year. Good to hear they're making some improvements.

If it is OK with everyone I think meeting up with Drew at the Lever booth is probably easiest and we can scout out a nearby spot to head to for a pint once everyone arrives.

Personally I'm looking forward to buying an Elsie calendar off Drew at the Lefever booth with a bunch of Parker guys! :)

John: the calendars are free to anyone who knows Jent's secret LCSCA handshake :)

I'll be manning the A.H. Fox Collectors Association table in the Sporting Arms side of the show.

Heading out in the morning and should be setting up by mid-afternoon if I can find the Lefever tables. I will be bringing my bore gauge and Bill Henry wall thickness gauge. Measuring, done right, is work and takes a while, but I'll measure CLEAN barrels as I am able Friday and Sat.
Looking forward to meeting many here!

Josh Loewensteiner will be manning the J.D. Julia booths. I caught a cold last week and I dread the airplane flight but I'll be there!

Anyone else?

So far the Shot Show is great, I can't wait to hit the antique arms show on friday. Always one of the best in the country.
