Has any body seen this before? It is a bit unusual skeleton butt with leather, and a extractor engraved? Gary

Gary,
I would guess the leather is to help keep the gun from sliding on your shoulder when shooting it. I have used the same idea on skeleton butt plates and hard rubber butts. I use double stick tape to hold the leather on.

The extractors are engraved......

No, I think he was just creative. Certainly unique. If I ever built a project gun this would certainly be done to it.

Gary, those are some very unusual engraving features - the engraved extractor (first one I've ever seen), "Parker Brothers" rather than the usual Parker Bros. normally engraved on the lock plates, and the style and execution of the scroll engraving is quite unusual as well. Is that style referred to as "arabesque"? A very neat Parker for sure! Is this one from the collection you just bought?

Is there any unusual treatment of the breech faces?... gas vents, for instance?

I have an extractor gun in the engraving project hopper as we speak. What a neat idea. I think I'll have "Don't Check" engraved on it.

I love that engraved extractor face! The engraving style is very different and just beautiful.
